On Rue des Messageries, near the Poissonnière metro station, this Indian restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat selection of specialties every evening. But be aware: the setup isn’t quite the same on weekdays as it is on weekends.
On weekends, Jaipur Café offers its all-you-can-eat Indian buffet
From Friday through Sunday evenings, guests help themselves directly from a large buffet featuring appetizers, slow-cooked dishes, grilled items, side dishes, and Indian desserts. The selection may vary, but the restaurant typically offers samosas, curries, tandoori dishes, and several types of biryani. For example, chicken tikka masala is served alongside dal saag, made with lentils and spinach, while tandoori chicken and lamb kebabs provide a grilled option for the meal.
The decor stays true to the restaurant’s name, inspired by Jaipur and the colors associated with Rajasthan. The dining room features a playful mix of colors, soft lighting, and a few nods to the world of Bollywood. The atmosphere is better suited to large, lively groups than to a quiet dinner, especially on evenings when the buffet draws a big crowd.
Two different options depending on the evening you choose
From Monday through Thursday, the all-you-can-eat menu is served directly at the table. Diners choose their dishes and can order more throughout the meal. The price is currently set at 24.90 euros, compared to 26.90 euros from Friday through Sunday for access to the self-service buffet. Dinner service is available from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Jaipur Café also has a standard menu featuring chicken tikka, marinated lamb, tandoor-grilled dishes, and desserts like gulab jamun. But for first-time visitors, the all-you-can-eat option is a great way to branch out beyond the two or three Indian dishes you usually order.
