Following a successful event this summer, Koji Fukushima’s famous flea market returns to Paris starting this Thursday, October 19. In the heart of the 3rd arrondissement, this large vintage market will take over the Galerie Joseph for 12 days. Free and open to the public without a reservation, this event will, as always, showcase hundreds of items imported directly from the Land of the Rising Sun. A must-see event for all bargain hunters and Japan enthusiasts!
A major Japanese flea market in the heart of the capital
The stalls will feature traditional tableware, vintage clothing, handicrafts, and all kinds of antique items. As with all previous editions, Koji Fukushima’s flea market will be the go-to place to find items such as kimonos, kokeshi dolls, matcha bowls, and bottles of sake. In short, there’s something for every collector.

Koji Fukushima, a former professional cyclist, has completely changed career paths. After cycling, the Japanese entrepreneur turned his attention to antiques. In 2019, he founded Hanama France, a company specializing in the sale of Japanese antiques. Since then, he has been organizing more and more events for Parisian collectors through his small flea markets. This won’t be Fukushima’s first time in Paris—last year and again this summer, he already took over the Galerie Joseph before setting up shop in the aisles of Le Bon Marché for the “Super Japon” event.
For this new edition, many Japanese designers will be on hand to sell their creations. You can expect to find antique pieces, handicrafts, and secondhand items. Open every day, even on Sundays and holidays, the flea market will be accessible from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with free admission—so come check it out!
