With the weather getting cooler, we’re all craving a little something sweet to lift our spirits! That’s perfect timing, since this little bakery and pastry shop nestled in the heart of the Yvelines has just won the award for the best vanilla millefeuille in France (no less).

Located in Orgeval in the Yvelines department, the Duhamel bakery and pastry shop is a real treat for all the locals. Here, you’ll find high-quality bread, pastries, and—above all—delicious desserts crafted by Alexia Léard. The 22-year-old pastry chef has every reason to be proud, as her work was recognized this year! In fact, her vanilla millefeuille won the award for best… in the entire country (no less)!
The recipe remains unchanged from the original, but what makes all the difference here are the ingredients used: flour from the Vexin, butter from Normandy, vanilla from Tahiti… high-quality ingredients that really shine through and can be savored with every bite.
Having already won awards in 2023 for its traditional baguette and in 2021 for its croissant, this bakery is clearly no stranger to success. To taste the best millefeuille in France, you’ll have to shell out 5.20 euros! A price that’s far from excessive given the quality of the products.
