In 2021, multi-Michelin-starred chef and entrepreneur Alain Ducasse officially acquired the Maison du Peuple in Clichy-la-Garenne. More than three years later, work is in full swing and the building is undergoing a beautiful metamorphosis. The result? More than 4,000 square metres dedicated to the world of the emblematic chef, and a host of surprises for Parisians (and other gourmets)!
Alain Ducasse’s new project soon to see the light of day
Never short of ideas, Alain Ducasse always has something to surprise with new restaurants and concepts. Whether it’s a place dedicated to cookies, an ice-cream factory or a plant-based canteen, in Paris we’re lucky enough to be able to discover these little addresses designed by the indefatigable chef. And the horizon is still bright for him, particularly in view of his latest major project.
Alain Ducasse has chosen Clichy as the location for his next venture. Purchased in 2021, the Maison du Peuple is anything but an ordinary building. Classified as a historical monument, this jewel of modernism and its 4,200 square meters are about to be transformed into a veritable temple of Ducasse-style gastronomy.
Eventually, the giant building will house Ducasse’s corporate headquarters, as well as the brand’s ice cream, chocolate and cookie factories. An international laboratory for ” traditional and future culinary practices ” will also be built. Last but not least, there will be a refectory as well as a bouillon, so you can be sure you’re in for a real treat!
All we have to do now is wait patiently to discover all this!
