The World Bread Championship is back!
Save the dates! On Tuesday, January 20, and Wednesday, January 21, 2026, ten teams from around the world will compete for the ultimate prize: the title of World Bakery Champion. In this competition, each nation will present an elite trio. One candidate will be an expert in bread, another a virtuoso in pastries, and the third a master of creativity. And the least we can say is that this13th edition is already shaping up to be a great one.
Sirha Bake & Snack, the epicenter of French Bakery, covering 11,500 m²!
It is at the heart of the Sirha Bake & Snack trade show, a must-attend event for professionals, that the competition will come to life on the Sirha Bake Contests stage. It must be said that in just a few years, the World Bakery Cup has become a true showcase of global expertise, but also a powerful symbol of the French art of living. With 11,500 m² of stage and space, the competition takes on a spectacular dimension. Each team kneads, shapes, and browns its creations with precision, in a veritable festival of talent and creativity.
Technique and emotion are on the agenda, with spectacular challenges.
During eight hours of team challenges, the candidates will be subject to relentless timing and the expert eye of a demanding jury. On the program: baguettes and breads from around the world, sweet pastries , and savory snacks. Above all, the teams will create an artistic piece, a monumental edible work of art, which will stand 1.60 meters tall. The theme of this creation is “The great inventions of your country.” It should be noted that all the challenges are part of a CSR approach, promoting short supply chains and waste reduction.

Victorious in 2024 after a 16-year wait, France is putting its title on the line against formidable teams from Japan, the United States, Brazil, South Korea, Morocco, and more.
