The Liberation of Paris Museum
Hidden away on Place Denfert-Rochereau, the Musée de la Libération de Paris – musée du Général Leclerc – musée Jean Moulin is one of those places that just touches your heart. Free of charge and open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm, it retraces the Second World War through the intertwined destinies of Jean Moulin and Philippe Leclerc, leading figures of the Resistance, with over 300 objects, photos, archive documents and personal accounts. The highlight of the tour? Colonel Rol-Tanguy’s underground shelter, a command post during the uprising of August 1944. On the program: an immersive or augmented reality experience that recreates the sounds, secrets and stakes of those decisive days.
