The warm weather is finally here, marking the long-awaited return of the wedding season. And to make the most beautiful day of your life exceptional, why not treat yourself to the excellence of a Palace pièce montée? This season, Peninsula pastry chef Anne Coruble has teamed up with pastry chef Bastien Blanc Tailleur. Together, they have created a wedding cake of unparalleled refinement, resembling a veritable jewel. Let’s take a look at this prestigious collaboration.
More than a wedding cake, a work of art
Nicknamed La Petite Versailles, The Peninsula is undoubtedly one of Paris’s finest palaces. Rich in history, this sumptuous venue, where elegance reigns supreme, makes the Avenue Kléber, in the 16th arrondissement, shine. At the heart of this prestigious Parisian hotel are 200 spacious rooms, including 93 suites. The Peninsula also boasts three restaurants, including the refined Le Lobby. There’s also Lili, its Japanese-inspired restaurant, and the famous Oiseau Blanc, which boasts three Michelin stars.
Another of the Peninsula’s splendors is its Rooftop, a high-perched setting where aesthetes love to meet in spring and summer. The Peninsula Paris is also proud of the talent of Anne Coruble, voted Pastry Chef of the Year 2024 by the renowned gastronomic guide La Liste. After unveiling l’Ail noir, her bold Easter 2025 creation, Anne Coruble presents her latest pastry collaboration. A pièce montée combining design, poetry and elegance.

What more dreamlike setting than The Peninsula Paris to exchange vows? Yes, the Parisian palace is unquestionably the perfect setting for a wedding. It was also a source of inspiration for Bastien Blanc-Tailleur, a pastry chef specializing in the art of wedding cake. From an early age, this pastry goldsmith has worked in some of the world’s finest gastronomic establishments. Today, he masters the most complex pastry techniques to perfection.
And to set the tone for the wedding season, Anne Coruble and Bastien Blanc-Tailleur have combined their talents. Together, they created “The Peninsula“, a sweet ode to the palace.

Inspired by the famous “dancing leaves”, this hand-sculpted cake features delicate dancing sugar leaves. A floral wedding cake dressed in white and gold, a perfect reminder of the spectacular crystalline chandelier in the lobby of The Peninsula Paris.
Much more than a wedding cake, this pièce montée is a visual and gustatory work of art in its own right. And it’s undoubtedly the most spectacular pièce montée in Paris, a promise of exceptional weddings.
