It seems truly unbelievable, and yet it’s true: the heat and sunshine have given way to gray skies, rain, and wind for at least the entire week… As of today, a yellow thunderstorm warning is in effect for Paris and the Île-de-France region. Rain is expected throughout the day, with a peak of 7 millimeters… And the rest of the week is expected to continue in this vein with very mixed weather, alternating between thunderstorms, heavy showers, and cloudy conditions…
Rain, thunderstorms, and a sharp drop in temperatures in Paris
After eight days of temperatures above 30 degrees,Parisians are experiencing a real breath of fresh air. Since Sunday, temperatures have plummeted by 10 degrees, giving way to a much more bearable atmosphere… But a change in temperature means thunderstorms! And while Monday gave us a bit of a break, that was before Tuesday rolled around—which is currently under a yellow thunderstorm alert at least until tomorrow.

Temperatures will also drop by about 15 degrees, falling from 34°C to 19°C… A trend that is expected to continue through Friday. The mercury could potentially rise again as early as this weekend, but with this highly changeable weather, nothing is certain.
