Urban Nature Festival, to enjoy nature in the city
In spring, the desire for the outdoors and greenery becomes ever more pressing! Perhaps you’re even in urgent need of getting your hands in the soil? To celebrate the long-awaited arrival of fine weather, Bercy Village is hosting the Urban Nature Festival, designed to give city dwellers, young and old, a dose of nature! With its program of activities(creative, tasting and gardening workshops), the event will show that it’s possible to combine nature and the urban environment!
A weekend of events to recharge your batteries with nature
On this occasion, a number of local associations and players working to promote biodiversity and raise public awareness of ecological issues will be on hand to liven up Bercy Village and provide visitors with the greenest of weekends!
All the weekend’s activities are free of charge, and those with an adventurous taste buds will be able to sample completely new products such as vegetable oysters, edible flowers and stinging petals selected by Ciel mon radis! Les Amis du Jardin de Catherine will introduce you to the specifics of urban gardening, while Ombelle Avenir will help you create botanical prints (using the cyanotype technique).City Bzz, an urban beekeeper, and Plant B, a recycling centre dedicated to plants, will also be on hand to introduce you to the world of bees and the reuse of materials in gardening!
Last but not least, don’t miss the free photo exhibition Paris Sauvage, devoted to the various animals (foxes, squirrels, owls…) that inhabit Paris and the surrounding region!
