From December 20, a train will take you to the foot of the superb Mont Saint-Michel via a direct link introduced by the SNCF. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit this brilliant monument, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1979, all without breaking the bank, as tickets will be available from €29.
Mont Saint-Michel directly accessible by train from Paris
While the most courageous can already reach Mont Saint-Michel by bike from Paris thanks to this brilliant cycle route, we’d now like to share with you a slightly more accessible alternative. From December 20, 2024, it will be possible to reach the monument via a direct line to Pontorson station. Including a shuttle service between the station and the monument, your ticket will give you access to this iconic site for €29. Scheduled to run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, this weekend service will complement the Nomad bus service that runs from Monday to Friday.
It will be an opportunity to discover or rediscover this veritable treasure of French heritage. A one-of-a-kind jewel, it is known the world over thanks to its geographical location and extraordinary architecture. Once you’re there, you’ll be able to enjoy the magnificent village and its ramparts, take in the Mont’s museums and, above all, marvel at the beautiful abbey.
