Summer terraces come and go, but no two are alike! The summer terrace at the Palais de la Porte Dorée, formerly known as “Poisson Lune,” has undergone a transformation and now welcomes Les Lionnes to its forecourt. Here’s more about this new queen of Parisian terraces.
Les Lionnes, a new pop-up terrace at the foot of the Palais de la Porte Dorée
It is on the forecourt ofthe imposing Palais de la Porte Dorée building, with its impressive bas-reliefs by Alfred Janniot, that Les Lionnes has set up its summer quarters, taking the place of Poisson Lune. Since May 22, the Art Deco building—home to the Museum of the History of Immigration and a tropical aquarium —has been setting up its umbrellas, stage, refreshment stands, and food stalls for a new season of festivities and culture! All summer long, the open-air café will offer a variety of free events (dances, concerts, meetups, workshops, and more).

Les Lionnes, the new cultural hub of eastern Paris
While the pop-up terrace Les Lionnes remains the ideal spot to sip a drink under the last rays of the day’s sun or savor delicious dishes, it will also cement its status as a favorite spot for cultural discoveries!
Last year, every week, the venue unveiled a rich and enticing program that combined dance workshops (salsa, swing, line dancing…), workshops exploring urban art forms (graffiti, breaking, or scratching), electro-punk or rap concerts, blind tests, DJ sets, readings… Stay tuned for the lineup at this new summer hotspot!
