This May, this little-known festival at the forefront of the music scene aims to stage 120 concerts in the Bastille district. For indie rock fans, Supersonic’s Block Party is back with three days of explosive live music in a dozen venues!
Supersonic, the little club that became big
Alternative rock music has its HQ! Le Supersonic is the address that fans of rock music of all kinds have been exchanging for just over a decade! Opened in 2016 in Bastille, this bar, concert hall and club offers a weekly program of (free) live music, themed evenings to dance the night away, tributes and aftershows! New wave, pop, psychedelic rock or post-rock, there’s something for everyone in this most electric of venues, and a must for stocking up on new sounds!
Supersonic’s Block Party, an explosive, pioneering program
As an active player on the indie rock scene, always on the lookout for new faces to program and new genres to explore, the Supersonic couldn’t be satisfied with its concerts and parties! And so, in 2023, the Supersonic’s Block Party was born! Inspired by Anglo-Saxon events such as SXSW in Austin or MaMA in Paris, where you navigate from venue to venue in a neighborhood, Supersonic’s Block Party will, for the 3rd time, take over the Bastille and the surrounding area!
For its next edition, the festival is even stepping up a gear, moving into a dozen or so venues in the district to be unveiled in 2025! From May 29 to 31, 120 concerts will take place in just three days!
Supersonic’s Block Party has a mouth-watering program in store, with artists from all horizons. The line-up is far from complete, but the first names to be unveiled give a good idea of what’s in store for you next spring! Shoegaze from Lemondaze, a dose of new wave from Jacuzi, sensual pop from Sorry Girls, punk from Bongloard or garage rock from Wasted Youth Club… No headliners, just artists with guts who could well be tomorrow’s sensations!
