When street art goes beyond the walls, it’s often synonymous with success. And this September, the Molitor swimming pool in Paris’s 16th arrondissement is the place to be. For the 2nd time, street artists will literally transform Molitor’s bathing cubicles into new works of art. We can’t wait to see the results. Can’t you?
The 78 cabins in Molitor’s winter pool begin new metamorphoses
For once, street art exhibitions are all the rage! In the capital, urban art lovers are particularly excited about the arrival of a new free street art exhibition that will be unveiling very soon, in the basement of the Église de la Madeleine. But there’s another great event to satisfy your thirst for street art: the Molitor artists’ booths, 2nd edition…
Since 2018, the public has had plenty of time to discover the cabins in the indoor pool of the famous Molitor swimming pool. A handful of years ago, these cabins were literally transformed by urban artists using spray cans. Yes, there’s only one step from bathing cubicle to work of art.
A bewitching new street art exhibition to discover in Paris…
In September, the Molitor cabins will undergo a new metamorphosis. After being left as they were for 6 years, the cabins in the winter pool will be completely re-dressed in color by 70 street artists. For this 2nd edition, the curation is international. It will showcase urban art from around the world. But how can you discover the Molitor pool cabins, adorned with graffiti, stencils and new urban frescoes of all kinds? To find out, join us for the European Heritage Days on September 21 and 22, 2024!
