“Paris under the stars” is one of the most magnificent summer events! This year, from June 28 to September 13, a number of free astronomy events are being organized in Paris parks. We look forward to seeing you in one of the 21 selected parks to experience this idyllic moment!
Magnificent stargazing evenings in Paris
Summer is one of the best times of the year to observe celestial phenomena. Thanks to the often clear summer nights, it’s easy to explore space with little equipment. Although Parisian light pollution prevents you from spending a real night under the stars, the city’s parks offer perfect places to set up your telescope and admire the constellations.
This summer, the Mairie de Paris and the Association Française d’Astronomie are organizing sky-watching evenings from 9pm to 1am! In 2025, conditions are even more ideal. You’ll be able to admire Jupiter and its moons! If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of Saturn and its rings. If you’re not, you can still enjoy the grandiose spectacle of the constellations visible in the northern hemisphere and the craters of the Moon.
A total of 22 space evenings are on offer. These evenings are free of charge and require no reservation, making them an excellent opportunity to discover space on your own, as a couple or with the whole family.
