The Belleville Food Market is gearing up to launch a particularly spicy edition. On Thursday, April 16, 2026, the famous open-air street food market returns with an evening entirely dedicated to spicy flavors on Boulevard de Belleville. The event will take place between the Couronnes and Ménilmontant metro stations from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with free admission, as usual.

For this special edition, the theme is clear. Everything will revolve around “spicy, ” with a selection of stalls showcasing chili peppers in all their forms. From a simple spicy kick to the hottest dishes, the idea is to gradually climb the Scoville scale.
As with every Food Market, around fifteen restaurateurs and chefs from the Parisian scene will be on hand to showcase their creations. This time, the recipes promise to be particularly daring. Highlights include wings inspired by the famous “Hot Ones” challenge, spicy takes on classic paninis, burgers loaded with chili peppers, and fiery African and Réunionese dishes.
Thrill-seekers can also check out a stand entirely dedicated to hot sauces. A “spicy roulette” will let you challenge your friends by tasting sauces of increasing intensity, from mild chili peppers to the most intense varieties.
For those with a sweet tooth, desserts will also be on the menu. Some stalls will offer sweet creations with a spicy twist, such as chocolate-chili cakes or cookies that pack a punch.
Since 2015, the Food Market has established itself as a popular Parisian street food destination. Set up right on the street, each edition draws thousands of visitors who come to sample and discover new cuisines in a friendly atmosphere.
