Want to spice up your week? From Monday June 2, the Spicy Festival comes to Paris and puts spices in the spotlight for seven explosive days. For the occasion, seven foodtrucks will gather on the forecourt of the MK2 Bibliothèque François Mitterand in the 13th arrondissement to deliver the best of spicy cuisine. From spicy à la carte dishes to recipes created just for the occasion, you’ll have the chance to climb the Scoville ladder while enjoying a delicious meal.
An all-spice festival in the heart of the 13th arrondissement
Following on from Paris on Fire, which set the 20th arrondissement alight in 2023, aficionados of spicy food will have another fiery rendezvous to mark in their diaries. The Spicy Festival will liven up the culinary scene in south-east Paris for a week, and the more adventurous are invited to awaken their palates with spicy dishes.
It’s not just a question of setting your mouth on fire: the foodtrucks will be offering recipes rich in taste and flavor. Spicy burgers, revisited bentos, fiery accras: all cultures will be represented and there will be something for everyone. And in addition to the food, you’ll be able to attend (or take part, if you dare) in a hot sauce tasting session, as well as all kinds of entertainment.
