This is the story of the day. A story of patience, passion, tapas, music… and coffee! In Paris, in the heart of the Marais district, a dream came true for the team behind this coffee shop with a Spanish accent. The world-famous Rosalía came to taste their coffee. So, can you guess Rosalia’s secret spot for a coffee break?
From fashion week shows to this Spanish coffee shop in the Marais…
It’s Fashion Week in Paris! Cabs and Uber are in full swing, the wackiest looks are taking to the streets, and stars are squatting in trendy restaurants between catwalks. One example is the free L’Oréal fashion show held a few days ago, where fashion fans were able to catch a glimpse of Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Eva Longoria. Not to mention the Étam fashion show, where celebrities lit up the catwalk in their finest lingerie finery. Last night, at the same time, the very important October Rose 2025 launch party was held on the Champ-de-Mars.
Cortado: coffee, tapas and jamòn ibérico
But Rosalía seems to prefer simplicity. True to her origins, she decided to frequent this Parisian coffee shop with Spanish influences. It’s called Cortado, and we told you all about it on Paris Secret. For you, Emma, our videographer, went to discover this authentic place with her Spanish friend, where coffee and tapas reign supreme. A warm place, good coffee from a Barcelona roaster, a counter reminiscent of Barcelona’s Ramblas, good jamòn ibérico de Bellota on pan con tomate… all the ingredients are here to bring a bit of Spain (and calor) back to Paris.
Rosalía in Paris: 371 days later, the star lands at Cortado, and tastes their café latte
And for months, the Cortado team had been appealing to Rosalía on social networks. Their dream? To see the interpreter of Despechá walk through the café’s doors. To attract the star’s attention with a nice wink, they even created a t-shirt displayed in the restaurant: “Day N°… waiting for Rosalia en Cortado”. And that dream has finally come true! After organizing a Rosalía look-alike contest, the singer finally stopped by Cortado between two Fashion Week shows. She tasted their delicious latte (with oat milk), and even signed their famous t-shirt “…waiting for Rosalia en Cortado”. It took 371 days for the star to visit Cortado, with her usual simplicity and generosity. Patience pays off .
So, maybe you’ll bump into Rosalía at her new favorite coffee shop in Paris in the next few days?
