When winter arrives, the call of the mountains is felt even by those who only have a few days to spare. From Paris, resorts can be reached in less than four hours, turning a simple weekend into a breath of fresh air. Vosges – Gérardmer and La Bresse
Around 4 hours away by car, or a little longer by train + shuttle, the Vosges mountains are a great alternative. The resorts of Gérardmer and La Bresse offer ski areas suitable for the whole family, with pistes for beginners and advanced skiers, as well as activities such as tobogganing, snowshoeing and wellness tours in the local thermal baths.
The Northern Alps
For those who prefer Alpine skiing, several resorts are accessible by train from Paris-Gare de Lyon, or via the new Travelski Night Express train (which allows you to arrive early at the foot of the slopes).
