A new breath of urban art has invaded Belleville. The cause? In October 2025, Parisian artist Seth unveiled a monumental fresco at 51 boulevard de Belleville, in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. Called “Les Gamins de Belleville”, the work brings together four children stacked in a living tower, symbolizing union, diversity and collective aspiration.
Seth’s new work in the heart of Belleville
The choice of the gable wall at number 51 was no accident: located in a district already rich in street art, it is part of the “Art and culture in the streets of the 11th” project launched via the City of Paris’ Participatory Budget. Seth proposed three sketches, invited residents to vote on them and chose the one that best embodied his aspiration: to represent children from different cultural backgrounds carrying each other upwards.
True to his style, here Seth depicts hidden faces, stylized postures and a palette composed of bright colors. One of the children holds a book, another an umbrella, a sign that education, protection and openness to the world are at the heart of the image. The silhouettes rise up to carry each other, a visual metaphor for mutual aid and diversity in the multicultural neighborhood of Belleville.
The address for Les Gamins de Belleville is 51 boulevard de Belleville. A stroll in the surrounding area will extend the experience, with a visit to rue Dénoyez and all its street-art works, for example.
