At the foot of Butte Montmartre, Hôtel Rochechouart hides a well-kept secret on its 9th floor. Perched in the sky, this magical 100-square-meter rooftop promises an exceptional face-to-face view of the Sacré-Coeur basilica and a privileged moment over cocktails and small dishes to share.
The best view of the Sacré-Coeur is from the Maggie Rooftop
With its breathtaking view of Montmartre and its emblematic monument, Maggie is undoubtedly one of the capital’s most spectacular rooftops. With its 360° panoramic view over the rooftops of Paris, its meticulous decor and its tempting menu, this little-known spot attracts epicureans on a daily basis to enjoy the sunshine and mild summer weather.
With almost a century of history, Hôtel Rochechouart has almost become an emblem of the neighborhood over the years. Constantly renewing itself, the establishment underwent a major renovation in 2020, giving rise to the incredible rooftop terrace we know today. After a name change, Maggie Rooftop is now a popular meeting place for local residents who share the secret.
With its cosy banquettes, wrought-iron tables and lush green plants, it’s almost like being in the countryside in the heart of Paris. A truly magical setting, the highlight of which is the view of the Sacré-Coeur, probably one of the best views of the monument in Paris.
The Maggie Rooftop menu features a fine selection of cocktails, as well as several Spritz recipes, wine, beers and softs. And for the pleasures of the palate, there’s a neat little menu to delight us. There’s egg mayo, burrata, grilled octopus and a good vitello tonato. All in all, a myriad of little pleasures to share.
So if you want to relax, sunbathe, treat yourself and enjoy one of the best views in Paris, head for Maggie Rooftop!
