In Paris, Roland Garros is no longer experienced solely from the stands of Philippe Chatrier or Suzanne Lenglen. For several years now, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann has offered a rather spectacular alternative. During the tournament, the department store’s rooftop transforms into a space entirely dedicated to tennis, with live match broadcasts. And the experience will naturally return for the 2026 edition.
Experience Roland Garros on one of Paris’s most beautiful rooftops
Set up on the terrace of the Coupole department store, this fan zone will feel like a mini Roland-Garros village. Deck chairs, a giant screen, and an unobstructed view of the Paris rooftops set the scene. On-site, visitors will be able to watch the matches live while enjoying a truly unique setting, right in the heart of Boulevard Haussmann.
Every year, during the two-week tournament, the rooftop attracts both tennis fans and curious visitors who simply come to enjoy the atmosphere. The program will therefore follow the rhythm of Roland-Garros, with continuous broadcasts of matches on a giant screen, from the start of the day through to the highlights. On-site, specially designed areas, temporary stands, and occasional tennis-themed activities will create a truly immersive atmosphere.

Every year, Roland Garros extends beyond its walls with fan zones and public screenings, such as at Place de la Concorde for the final rounds. The Galeries Lafayette rooftop is one of the most popular spots, thanks in particular to its setting and accessibility.
For the 2026 edition, if the tournament runs from May 18 to June 7, the rooftop should align with those dates. Watching a Roland-Garros match with a view of Paris, without a ticket and outdoors, remains a rather rare experience. It’s a simple, effective plan that is once again likely to draw crowds as soon as the warm weather arrives.
