While performing at Hellfest last June, iconic rock band Queens of the Stone Age announced a performance in the Catacombs of Paris. A major event, since the Parisian underground has never really hosted an event of this magnitude. Nevertheless, this information is still tinged with vagueness, and much more is yet to be revealed.
A rock concert soon in the Catacombs of Paris?
On the weekend of June 19, rock and metal fans sang in unison at Hellfest. And it was precisely on this occasion, during a press conference, that Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme announced a performance at the Catacombes de Paris. Expected for over 18 years by the band, this performance will finally see the light of day, and representatives of the venue have confirmed it.
The giant underground gallery will indeed host a concert, but unfortunately there will be no audience on the day. Although we have little information to date, we do know that this performance will be halfway between the shooting of a video clip and a live online concert. Queens of the Stone Age will perform in front of the walls of bones, in the official part of the Catacombs, and this concert should then be filmed and possibly broadcast.
As for when, no date has yet been announced. We’ll be on the lookout to find out more about this performance event.
