In Paris, food concepts are all the rage. The opening of the 1st cordon-bleu bar in Paris (tested and approved by the Paris Secret team) or this indecently gourmet chocolate mousse bar in the 7th arrondissement. This time, we’re heading for the 8th arrondissement for a detour to pistachio heaven: La Pistacherie! Unique in France, this conceptualized boutique could easily be called a pistachio bar by food trend addicts.
Pistachios are a bit like Proust’s madeleine for the inventors of La Pistacherie.
But what exactly will you find when you walk through the doors of La Pistacherie? On the premises, pistachios in all their forms and sauces, of course. From homemade pistachio ice cream to pistachio cookies and even cereal bars, pistachios come in an infinite variety of flavors. And La Pistacherie’s boundless creativity doesn’t stop there. Gourmet fans can also enjoy apistacchio version of the Italian Panettone (mama mia!), crêpes, pistachio-flavored waffles, cream-filled croissants… in short, pistachios in all their forms! And to ensure that its creations are unique, La Pistacherie has called on the best pastry craftsmen, who work to sublimate the famous dried fruit. On site, the pleasure of the eyes continues with a real pistachio cream fountain, which makes a change from the traditional chocolate fondue.
The pistachio bar, a first in France
To sample all these delights, gourmets can take a break on La Pistacherie’s charming terrace. It’s the perfect opportunity to get away from it all, no pun intended. La Pistacherie also boasts an infinite range of dried fruits, including organic pruned almonds, Australian Macadam nuts and Tibetan Goji berries.
We’re happy to offer bags, jars and even gift boxes dedicated to berries, seeds and other nuts. But the star of the show, of course, is the pistachio, reinvented in all its forms. A welcome change from the chocolate and Matcha that have been all the rage in recent years.
