The Olympic Games will welcome over 15 million people throughout the competition. And more visitors means more people on the roads. So how do you go about parking in Paris during this period? Here’s how we can help!
Reserve your parking spaces in advance
Coming to Paris for the Olympics? You can reserve a parking space directly online. Numerous platforms enable you to book places close to Olympic venues. You can choose from several packages: by the hour, by the day or by the month! This is the least stressful way to guarantee a place, but perhaps the most expensive too.
Choose underground parking lots
The good news is that all underground parking lots (with the exception of those next to the Olympic venues) will remain open during the Games. To park in a red zone parking lot, you’ll need to show your Games Pass. To avoid complications, it’s best to park a little further away from the competition venues, even if it means completing your journey by bike, metro or on foot.
Parking in blue zones
During the Olympic Games, certain zones will be open to pedestrians, cyclists and authorized vehicles. This applies not only to cabs, VTCs and public transport, but also to local residents and parking lot users. If you wish to park in these zones and are concerned, you won’t need a permit.
Use public transport to get around
If, despite all our advice, you can ‘ t find a place to park, we strongly advise you to use public transport. Firstly, because some shuttles have been specially chartered to take you directly to the competition venues (and what’s more, they’re free!). If some metro stations are going to be very busy, there are ways of anticipating your journey. An interactive map has been created by the government to suggest different itineraries.
