At first glance, you’d think this beautiful building was straight out of a movie! We could imagine Bridgerton’s characters going to such a place for a social evening. And yet, this former Gennevilliers railway station has been a McDonald’s for over 20 years. And it’s probably the most beautiful in France. Shall we go for a walk?
Close to Paris, this McDonald’s hidden in a railway station is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in France.
Built in 1905, this elegant building once served as a station between La Plaine and Ermont-Eaubonne. After the final closure of the line, the station lay derelict for many years, deserted since 1988. To prevent it from falling into oblivion, Gennevilliers Town Hall decided to give it a second life by offering it for rent. As a result, <shortcode data-tag=”trackLink” 0=”” 1=”class=”cursor-pointer”>https://parissecret.com/mcdonalds-big-mac-le-moins-cher-de-paris/””>the famous American fast-food restaurant</shortcode> has opened a new restaurant there… in a location that is, to say the least, unexpected!

<shortcode data-tag=”caption” id=”attachment_93411″ align=”alignnone” width=”1024″><img class=”size-large wp-image-93411″ src=”https://offloadmedia.feverup.com/parissecret.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/27135429/Montage-photo-article-PS-2024-05-27T135252.993-1024×683.jpg” alt=”mcdonald caché Paris” width=”1024″ height=”683″ /> @wikimedia mcdonald caché Paris
</shortcode>

This millstone building has retained all its original charm: period clock, sublime earthenware and water-green windows are still visible today. Past the historic facade, give way to a resolutely modern world: self-service ordering terminals, contemporary ambience, and all the comforts of a modern-day McDonald’s. The cherry on the burger:the establishment is open every day non-stop, from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.. In other words, you’ll never die of hunger here!

An unusual place that’s well worth a visit, in the tradition of the one at Saint-Lazare, famous for its listed Alsatian facade.
