Paris’s first octopus kebab, a recipe from across the seas…
But what a crazy idea to make an octopus kebab, you might say? While the idea may seem outlandish, in Greece it’s a completely ordinary dish. In fact, it was while traveling through that beautiful country that Alix, the owner, found his inspiration.
Since then , in addition to traditional veal recipes, the restaurant has been serving tender, seasoned octopus. The octopus comes from the North Atlantic, Portugal, and Morocco, and is prepared on-site every morning.
A family-run kebab shop from father to son since 1985, Au Durumier makes everything from scratch: the sauces, the bread, the seasonings—nothing is left to chance to ensure you enjoy your meal. But if, despite that, you prefer more conventional recipes, you’ll find the best kebab in Paris in the same district, on Rue des Pyrénées (and it’s been winning top honors for four years now).
