From December 5 to January 4, a magnificent illuminated forest and a gourmet mini-Christmas market will transport Parisians into the magic of the festive season. And there’s no need to leave Paris to experience the thrill of Christmas: head to the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville, where giant glittering Christmas trees and gourmet chalets will take pride of place for almost a month. A sweet interlude to treat yourself to!
A forest and a mini Christmas market in the heart of Paris

If you thought the Hôtel de Ville square wouldn’t be doing anything for the holidays this year, you’re wrong! The skating rink so beloved of Parisians has been replaced by a magical forest, and a mini gourmet market, where the scent of cinnamon and hot chocolate will flatter your nostrils.
Hidden between the majestic fir trees, you’ll find gourmet chalets where young and old alike can indulge in waffles, crêpes, runny tartiflettes and other seasonal treats. A number of artisans will be exhibiting their products, all with the Fabriqué à Paris label. The perfect way to please your loved ones with unique, original gifts.

Throughout these weeks, children will be able to take part in writing workshops, and write their most beautiful letters to Santa Claus (who will be present every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as during the school vacations). Literary activities, such as storytelling, will also be offered by Editions Auzou. Finally, the whole family will discover impressive sculptures of animals and monuments made entirely from LEGO.
If you like Christmas markets, we can’t recommend the Villette market enough: with its huge ice rink, magnificent chalets, Savoyard specialities and Ferris wheel. A wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year!
