After conquering the hearts of local residents in the 5th, 9th and 20th arrondissements, Peppe, the world pizza champion, is now tackling the bustling 11th arrondissement, where a myriad of good restaurants are already in place. As usual, the Neapolitan spirit will take pride of place, from the decor to the know-how, not forgetting, of course, the delicious pizzas. All that remains is to wait patiently until autumn to see this new gourmet spot in Paris blossom.
The king of Neapolitan pizza opens a new Parisian address
Every evening, crowds line up at 7pm in front of Giuseppe Cutraro‘s colorful restaurants. And with good reason: the pizzaiolo has earned the titles of world pizza champion and best pizzeria in the world. A well-deserved success for this pioneer of Neapolitan pizza in Paris, who will be back with an 8th address.
The date is set for next autumn, in the heart of the Charonne district. What we already know is that this new address will take its inspiration from the colorful facades of Naples, with a coral-red storefront and a bespoke, hand-crafted dĂ©cor of Italian ceramics, mural frescoes and glazed tiles. The Neapolitan sun will also shine in the kitchens, thanks in particular to a traditional oven from which the chef’s famous recipes will emerge.
Made with indirect-formed dough, Peppe’s pizzas follow the Campania tradition of puffed edges and delicious sourced ingredients. You can expect to find the great classics such as margherita, regina and tartufo, as well as the chef’s bold creations (carbonara, multicolored burrata) and even the world champion pizza made with tomato, Parma ham, almonds and fig jam.
All you have to do now is wait patiently before you can try it all!
