Who said Paris lacked greenery? For several years now, the city has been allocating a significant portion of its budget to greening the city. Among the most recent green spaces are the urban forest on the forecourt of Paris City Hall and Place Catalogne, which has been completely transformed. This weekend, another green space will open its doors to the general public. And it’s not just any green space, as it is located on Île Seguin in Boulogne-Billancourt. Welcome to Gauthier-Mougin Departmental Park, a 1.5-hectare green oasis.
A new park on the outskirts of Paris

Don’t expect yet another conventional park with perfectly manicured lawns. Here, landscape architect Michel Desvigne wanted to create a dialogue between nature… and art! As you stroll around, don’t be surprised to see sculptures and contemporary artworks blending in with the surrounding nature. You can admire around twenty works along the Seine to the Pointe des Arts. A veritable open-air museum! This comes as no surprise for an island that is home to the Seine Musicale.

Art and nature create a unique, almost mesmerizing tableau that allows you to see Paris as never before. The park will open this weekend , on Saturday, January 31, at 11 a.m. And there’s no doubt that it will quickly become one of the favorite nature spots, just a few minutes from Paris.
