Grand Frais continues its expansion in the Île-de-France region. On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the chain will open a new store in Champigny-sur-Marne, in Val-de-Marne, not far from the capital. Located at 85 Rue Jean-Jaurès, this new location will offer nearly 1 , 000 meters of retail space and bring together under one roof the various sections that have made the chain so successful.
Just like in a covered market, customers will wander among the produce aisles, fish counters, butcher shop, cheese and dairy section, and a grocery section featuring both regional products and specialties from other countries. The fish will come primarily from French fish auctions, while the meats will be prepared on-site by butchers.
A new Grand Frais in downtown Champigny-sur-Marne

The arrival of the store is part of a broader transformation of Champigny’s downtown area. The Rue Jean-Jaurès area is gradually welcoming new shops and amenities, including a recently opened Monoprix and a planned gourmet market nearby. A 168-space underground public parking garage is also part of the neighborhood’s new developments.
This new location will further strengthen Grand Frais’s presence in eastern Paris, where the chain already operates several stores, notably in Bry-sur-Marne. In Champigny, the decision to locate the store right in the city center should also help attract customers who are less reliant on large out-of-town shopping centers.
The opening is now just around the corner: the first customers will be able to explore the store starting Wednesday, September 9!
