As you know, this year the RATP has really gone all out with construction projects. Both metro and RER lines have undergone several weeks of work to modernize the tracks while ensuring greater safety and comfort for passengers in their daily commutes going forward… But here’s the thing: to enjoy these changes, you’ll have to pay the price! Upcoming construction projects will indeed disrupt service for several days… Which lines are affected? Line 4! It will actually be closed for nearly a month… We’ll explain everything!
Paris: Metro Line 4 to be closed for nearly a month in July
After partially closing a section of the line for 12 days in April, Line 4 will once again face major disruptions in July… Service will be completely suspended at 7 stations between Les Halles and Montparnasse-BienvenüefromJuly 6 to 24, 2026… A headache for summer vacationers who are likely planning their trips and will have to find an alternative way to get around.

The closure of this section aims to improve its reliability, particularly through the replacement of track equipment. As you know, during this nearly month-long ordeal, the key word will be planning ahead. While the RATP is providing replacement buses to support commuters, we still recommend working from home if possible or using other metro lines… Good luck to everyone!
