As you know, the Paris Metro is currently undergoing—and will continue to undergo throughout the year— several modernization projects to improve its reliability and passenger safety. Among the metro lines currently affected, Lines 3, 4, and 8 will be partially closed for periods ranging from a few days to a few months. Bad news: Line 13 is now being added to this list. It will be closed 15 times throughout the year…. Here are the dates in question.
Line 13 to close 15 times for construction…
For some passengers, it’s one of the worst metro lines in Paris. Overcrowded during rush hour, the line also suffers from numerous technical issues that affect its efficiency throughout the year. This inevitably leads to delays, sometimes significant ones…

Bad news: it’s not going to get any better. In fact, Line 13 will be completely closed two to three Sundays a month starting May 3. Specifically, the line will not be in service until noon on the following dates:
- May 3 and 17
- June 7 and 28
- August 2, 16, and 30
- September 13, 20, and 27
- October 11
- November 1, 16, and 29
- December 13
Of course, replacement buses will be provided, particularly between the Asnières Gennevilliers Les Courtilles and Porte de Clichy stations, to minimize the impact on passengers…

In addition, this summer, service will be suspended between Saint-Denis Université and Porte de Saint-Ouenfrom July 31 to August 17, 2026. The Porte de Vanves station will not be servedfrom August 6 through August 9, 2026.
