In the heart of the Chevreuse Valley, the Dampierre-en-Yvelines estate will open its doors on September 26 for a full day dedicated to the festive spirit of the 18th century. On the program: artistic processions, equestrian performances, and, to cap it all off, a masquerade ball at the château from 7 p.m. to midnight.
A grand masquerade ball just outside Paris
Welcome to the Dampierre-en-Yvelines estate! The festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with the “Enchanted Garden of La Pompadour.” This magnificent garden party will take place throughout the entire estate. Young and old alike can watch equestrian performances, participate in creative workshops, and enjoy an afternoon snack on site.
Starting at 7 p.m., the evening takes on a more intimate atmosphere… Period costumes and masks are strongly recommended by the estate to fully immerse yourself in the intimate atmosphere of the venue. A dance lesson will be offered on-site, in the tradition of the grand balls of the Age of Enlightenment. It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in the magic of centuries past for an absolutely divine, enchanted evening.
Please note: the magnificent château is currently undergoing renovations and will unfortunately not be open to visitors during the day. The event will therefore take place exclusively outdoors on the estate grounds for the garden party, and then in the interior halls for the masked ball.
