The iconic Alsatian Christmas market is set to reopen at the Gare de l’Est. This year, from Friday November 28, 2025, the oldest Alsatian Christmas market outside the region is back for a 43ᵉ edition! Inspired by the gourmet traditions of Alsatian Christmases, this iconic market will take you on a journey to Eastern France, without even leaving the capital! Can you smell the aromas of Bretzel, Kouglof, gingerbread and mulled wine?
The Alsatian Christmas Market returns to the Gare de l’Est in Paris

The magic of Christmas is already taking hold of the City of Light. The return of the most beautiful Christmas markets, the arrival of a new Swiss market at La Villette, the windows of department stores decked out in their finest luminous finery… As the month of December approaches, a wind of enchantment is blowing through Paris.
And one of the must-see events of the festive season is, of course, the Alsatian Christmas Market. But what does the 2025 vintage have in store for us? For this 43rd edition, some twenty artisans will be present on the stands at the Gare de l’Est, ready to share the best of Alsatian terroir in the capital. The region’s expertise will be showcased through a diversity of local, handcrafted products.

Wines, liqueurs, crémants, eaux-de-vie… You’ll be able to taste beverages from numerous estates. Gourmets will not be outdone, and will have the pleasure of shopping for and tasting varieties of foie gras, Alsatian charcuterie, pâtés en croûte and spätzles. Of course, the famous sauerkraut will also be on the menu. Fine palates will also be delighted to find gourmet Alsatian specialities: gingerbread, cookies, Christmas bredele, kougelhopfs, pastries, confectionery, chocolates… At the Gare de l’Est Alsatian Christmas Market, it’s time for gourmets to take comfort.
