Remember last year, when we reported on the impressive images of a dystopian Paris imagined by the creators of The Walking Dead series? In the teaser for this spin-off centered on the character of Daryl Dixon, we discovered Paris in ruins and the Eiffel Tower removed from its third floor, with striking images. Today, it’s another of Paris’s iconic monuments that is presented in ruins, with the Louvre. So, here’s what the cultural landmark would look like after a zombie apocalypse!
After 12 years on the air, 11 seasons and 177 episodes, The Walking Dead series came to a close in November 2022, keeping millions of people around the world on the edge of their seats. Indeed, the adventures of Rick Grimes and co. attracted up to 17 million viewers at the series’ peak. Today, the spin-off centered on Daryl Dixon, one of the series’ fan-favorite characters, is once again keeping fans of this universe on the edge of their seats. The backdrop for the latest episode is Paris, and in particular the Louvre Museum.
We see Ieoh Ming Pei ‘s famous pyramid in a state of total disrepair, half its glass lozenges missing or broken. Overgrown with vegetation, the structure appears totally unrecognizable, as do the surrounding museum facades. A strange dystopian picture!
