If Christmas markets aren’t really your thing, and you prefer immersive exhibitions and experiences, we recommend a trip to the BNF Richelieu. This time, it won’t be (just) to admire its sublime decor, but to try and unravel Cardinal Mazarin’s greatest secrets. For almost two hours, you and your team will have to solve a series of enigmas in which your sense of observation and deduction will lead you on the trail of a four-century-old mystery…
An immersive experience at the BNF Richelieu
One of the most beautiful libraries in Paris, and probably in the world , invites you to step into the shoes of an investigator for a few hours. Until next March, your mission will be to discover the Cardinal’s hidden treasure. As you explore the museum’s collections and the spaces of the Richelieu site, you’ll have to piece together the many clues hidden by the guardians of the secret in order to solve the riddles. As your adventure unfolds, you and your team will explore the different areas of this exceptional cultural space: the Barthélémy Room and its medallions, the Oval Room and its dizzying architecture, and the Mazarin Gallery and its impressive ornate ceiling… A fun cultural visit, where you’ll have to investigate discreetly among the students and researchers, to avoid being unmasked…

In teams of 2 to 6 players aged 10 and over, this adventure will propel you into another world for a moment. In each room, you’ll have to decipher coded messages, find a fragment of the secret, observe the works of art hidden in the library and use your sense of logic and deduction to reach your goal. Halfway between an escape game and an interactive exhibition, this activity is sure to delight families and groups of friends alike. A great way to learn a little more about our history, while visiting one of France’s most beautiful libraries.
