The French music scene is on fire! And with good reason: the temperature has been rising steadily during previous editions of Flammes 2025, the new darling of the rap, R’n’B and Nouvelle Pop worlds. Good news for music lovers: on Tuesday May 13, he’s back at the Seine Musicale with a new, third ceremony to reward the year’s best artists. Open your ears wide!
Les Flammes 2025
The project is the brainchild of specialist media outlets Yard and Booska-P. Unhappy with the poor representation of rap, R’n’B and New Pop, they created a ceremony in 2023 to reward artists in these categories as they deserve. Tired of being left on the sidelines at major musical events, urban artists now have their own stadium: La Seine Musicale. For the past two years, this emblematic Parisian concert hall has played host to Les Flammes. This year is no exception, and make a note of the date in your diaries: it’s May 13.
For this new edition, we’ve got a jam-packed program in store, with 25 categories represented, a selection of artists that will literally blow your mind (and your speakers!), and the chance for the public to vote en masse. In short, the evening promises to be nothing short of electric.
The nominees are…
A mix of established names, rising stars and nuggets we can’t wait to see take off. On the heavyweight side, Booba, Tiakola, SDM, Werenoi, GIMS, Aya Nakamura and Shay are all in the running. But beware, revelations like Theodora, Jolagreen23 and La Mano 1.9 could well steal the show…
🧨 Flame of the year album? Maybe SDM’s “À la vie à la mort” or Tiakola’s “BDLM Vol.1”…
🎶 So ng of the year? The bangers “Dolce Camara”, “4 Kampé” or “Hypé” are already rocking the web.
💥 Featuring of the year? The explosive duo Booba x SDM, or the hot vibe of Damso & Kalash?
🎤 And the Flamme for female artist? The suspense is total between Aya, Shay, Yseult, Meryl and their sound sisters.
