Looking for a fancy venue this summer? Just a few weeks ago, the Café du Louvre opened its doors opposite the Musée du Louvre. And since then, the establishment has never been empty. A brasserie with Parisian elegance, comforting bistro-style dishes, a lovely terrace… We don’t know about you, but we at Paris Secret: it’s everything we love!
Hot spot alert!
As self-respecting Parisians, we love les Bouillons and Parisian brasseries. And there’s a new arrival on the cobbled streets of Paris. Its name: the Café du Louvre. And with its ideal location – right opposite the famous Louvre Museum – the chic new brasserie already has everything to please.
Ideally located on the iconic Avenue de l’Opéra, Café du Louvre boasts a beautiful, typically Parisian stone façade. Tray service, wooden chairs, distressed mirrors, beautiful banquettes… It’s a pleasure to rediscover the essentials of French brasserie.
Le Café du Louvre: a brand-new Parisian brasserie
A la carte, quality is the order of the day. There are a number of delicious dishes to share over an aperitif, such as truffled tarama, fried calamari, charcuterie and cheese boards or goat’s cheese crisps. As a self-respecting Brasserie, the Café du Louvre also offers sandwiches and croques with a refined touch.
A la carte: croque-madame or croque-monsieur with truffled ham and cheeseburgers. Other French classics are also on the menu. Such is the case with onion soup au gratin, eggs mayo or duck foie gras, to be enjoyed as a starter.
Brasserie-style dishes, a beautiful terrace and a dream location
When it comes to food, gourmets can choose between generous salads, pastas, fresh grilled fish and veggie options. Viandais are not to be outdone, with the sacrosanct entrecôte béarnaise, beef tartar or veal escalope with cream and mushrooms.
And to finish on a high note: crêpes and ice creams, a typically Parisian Paris-Brest, millefeuille, lemon meringue pie and even a giant éclair! Without a doubt, the Café du Louvre joins our top list of the most beautiful Parisian brasseries. So, are you ready to discover this hot new address?
