You’ve been dreaming about it? In 2028, it will finally be a reality! France’s first video game museum will open just outside Paris, in Bussy-Saint-Georges. The 11,000 m² museum will feature a number of areas for enthusiasts: a video game museum, of course, with exceptional exhibits, but also a shopping arcade built like a real Japanese village, and a 100% Japanese food court (the first of its kind in Europe). Shall we show you around?
The first video game museum (and the largest in the world) to open in France, just outside Paris
Fans have been waiting for such a space for years, but never dared to believe it. But Benoît Theveny, aka Tev from the YouTube channel “Tev Ici Japon” (with over 1 million subscribers) has done it! In 2028 , France’s very first museum will open. It will be located in Bussy-Saint-Georges, a commune in the 77 region of France that aims to position itself as one of the benchmarks for e-sports in France. In this enormous 11,000 m² space, you’ll discover a unique, immersive museum of over 3,000 m², retracing over 50 years of video game history, through remarkable collectibles sourced from all over the world. The rooms are themed (steampunk, fantasy) and offer immersive experiences. To date, our console collection is the largest in the world!
A 100% Japanese food court, as well as a Gaming Arena

In this museum, which will be called “Odyssée”, visitors will not only be able to learn a little more about video games, but will also have plenty of time to wander around a 1,000 m²Japanese food court, where you can sample some of the 12 delicacies from the Land of the Rising Sun: mochi, ramen, sushi, takoyakis…

In the 5,000 m² Japanese village, the whole of Japan will be on display, just 30 minutes from Paris. Enthusiasts will be able to buy manga, Pokémon cards, figurines, clothing and try out the most representative arcade machines of the last fifty years. A game center where gamers can discover the latest releases from Japan. A warm and lively intergenerational space, where you can share your passion with as many people as possible.

Finally, in a 1,500 m² space, you’ll discover a huge Gaming Arena where E-Sport tournaments, concerts, shows and screenings will punctuate the programming throughout the year.
Initially announced for 2026, this immense museum will open its doors in early 2028, with an estimated 1 million visitors each year. An ambitious project, confirming France’s expertise in this field!
