Last year, more than 2.2 million visitors strolled through its aisles. La Défense’s massive Christmas market is set to make its grand return this November, with plenty of surprises and an XXL version that will delight young and old alike. And for this new edition, we’ll also be treated to something new: a giant festive area called “Le Sommet.”
The La Défense XXL Christmas Market returns in November

While we’re still enjoying the last of the summer’s mild weather, we can’t hide our excitement to (re)discover our favorite Christmas markets. Among them, it’s impossible to miss the famous La Défense Christmas Market—quite simply the largest in the region. With 15,000 square meters of space, over 300 market stalls, an ice rink, and a giant Christmas tree, it’s one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the winter.
This year, the event will run for 7 weeks, and of course, it will feature everything that makes Christmas markets so popular. Artisans, designers, restaurants, food courts, and entertainment will set the tone for the event in a festive and friendly atmosphere.

A small change for 2026: the Christmas market will be expanded and divided into two sections. On one side, there will be a traditional market featuring 300 food stalls, gift ideas, rides, and the traditional Santa’s House. On the other side, we’ll be treated to the inauguration of “Le Sommet,” a “new festive space designed as an experience in its own right.” Featuring a rich and varied program of activities throughout the event, this space will also—and most notably—include a 500-square-meter ice rink, dominated by a giant 20-meter-tall Christmas tree.
The event is set for November 12 right on the plaza. The Christmas market will be open continuously until the evening. All that’s left to do is wait patiently before discovering this truly magical place.
