After the Strasbourg market and the Tuileries market in Paris, we’re off to another authentic market: the one in Arras. Located in the heart of the city on its magnificent listed Grand’Place, you’ll discover over 100 magnificent chalets decorated for the occasion. It’s a magnificent open-air Christmas village that will amaze young and old alike for over a month…
The largest Christmas market in the Hauts-de-France region within easy reach of Paris

Can you smell the cinnamon and hot waffles wafting through the air? No doubt about it, you’ve arrived at a Christmas market. And the pretty town of Arras, 2 hours from Paris, boasts the biggest market in the Hauts-de-France region. Until December 30, you’ll discover 150 magnificent chalets, where craftsmen and local delicacies await you.

Surrounded by listed Flemish Baroque gabled houses, the city is illuminated by thousands of sparkling garlands, giving it a fairytale feel. Here, quality is paramount: you’ll find only local craftsmen and merchants proud to show you their wares. Jewelry, decorations, clothes… all lovely things to put under the tree.

Young and old alike can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides to explore the town, or a ride on the little train… and all without spending a cent! Numerous artist and musician strolls will punctuate the market throughout the season. Last but not least, if you want to take in the sights and see the glittering Christmas village from a whole new angle, we recommend you take a ride on the Ferris wheel: a magical moment guaranteed!
