The Caserne de Reuilly district has undergone a veritable transformation. After seven years’ work, it reopened its doors in September 2021, transformed into a lively new ecosystem. A public garden of almost 4,800m², housing (social, student and intermediate), a crèche, local shops… the district has become a meeting place, more lively than ever. This is where Léonie Bakery, the largest bakery in Paris, opened its doors.
The largest bakery in Paris takes up residence in this former barracks…
But what can lovers of good bread find on the 1,000 m2, two-storey premises? On the stalls, around attractive wooden counters, you’ll find the great classics. Pure butter croissants, cinnamon rolls (also available in chocolate or cardamom versions), ham and emental croissants… fans will also find the now famous Basque cake.
As for breads, lovers of golden crusts and soft crumbs will be delighted: baguette Léonie (made with flour from the Viron mill in Chartres), Tourte de Meule, Cœur de Sarrasin, Tordu du Gers and the original fruit Vollkornbrott. When it comes to lunch breaks, the place is equally impressive. On the menu: generously garnished homemade buns, baguette sandwiches and fresh seasonal salads.
In the heart of the city: a green terrace lined with olive trees.

The little luxury that makes all the difference? Enjoy these delights in the shade of the olive trees, on the bakery’s idyllic terrace. An outdoor setting designed as a little corner of the countryside, which may well become your next refuge. The experience continues in the coffee shop, with a menu created in partnership with L’Arbre à Café. Espresso, flat white, Matcha latte or iced coffee are made to perfection, thanks to a Marzocco machine, the nec plus ultra for Baristas.
Léonie Bakery opens its largest address in the capital…
Behind this exciting project is Kamel Saci, a baker with an eclectic background. Trained all over the world, he worked with some of the greatest names in gastronomy, before settling in Paris in 2020. It’s in the heart of the capital that he opens his first Léonie Bakery. His ambition? To reconcile traditional French savoir-faire with a resolutely contemporary vision of bakery.
Today, his bakeries number 6 in the capital, and Léonie continues to seduce with its commitment to organic flours, natural leavening, artisanal recipes and a constant demand for quality. With Léonie Reuilly, Kamel Saci pushes back the boundaries of the traditional bakery to create a hybrid, warm and resolutely gourmet place. An address where bread is the star, where craftsmanship is celebrated, and where, for a coffee or a sandwich, you can enjoy a corner of the countryside in the middle of the city.
In short: An immense haven of peace… and indulgence!
