Atelier des Lumières
A dive to depths normally inaccessible

Here, there are no snorkels or scuba tanks: the Atelier des Lumières transforms into a veritable ocean. For the first time, the exhibition takes visitors more than 2,000 meters below the surface, far beyond the limits of conventional diving. In these depths, where daylight no longer reaches, a mysterious world is revealed, populated by creatures with astonishing bioluminescent abilities.
As the exploration unfolds, the songs of whales echo through the space while visitors discover the sperm whale’s impressive ability to hold its breath. Then, the journey reverses course and gradually ascends toward the surface, passing through ancient shipwrecks. An extraordinary dive that requires neither special equipment nor prior experience: the images come to life in 360°, from the floor to the walls, giving the impression of truly moving through the heart of the oceans.
An idea for an outing during the All Saints’ Day break

The experience arrives just in time for a family outing during the All Saints’ Day break! Younger visitors have a space dedicated just to them, with an interactive exhibit designed to help them discover the ocean floor in a fun and accessible way.
And there’s no need to check the weather or worry about seasickness: this exploration of the oceans takes place in the warmth, right in the heart of Paris. An original outing idea for a change from the usual activities during fall break.
