Paris’s biggest Indian festival of colors is making a grand return this year, in the heart of this massive Parisian amusement park. To celebrate Holi, this vibrant traditional day filled with the colors of the rainbow, join us on May 31, 2026. Ready for an explosion of joy, hope, and good cheer?
What is Holi, this traditional Indian festival?

Every year in India, people celebrate Holi, known as “the festival of colors,” for two days. This iconic celebration, one of the most joyful, marks the end of winter and the renewal brought by the spring equinox.
On the first day, a huge bonfire is lit at nightfall during the Holika Dahan ceremony, a symbol of purification, forgiveness, and the victory of good over evil. Families then gather around the fire to pray, sing, or throw offerings into the flames.
On the second day, people don pristine clothing for Rangwali Holi, the festival of colors. Indians of all ages flood the streets, throwing colored pigments called gulal at one another, as well as colored water sprayed from water guns. It is said that each color has its own symbolism: green, a symbol of harmony; red, a promise of joy and love; and blue, the embodiment of vitality.
During Holi, colors and good wishes mingle in the air, creating a multicolored cloud of hope. From India to Paris, this festival is an invitation to share, come together, love, forgive, and celebrate life. And in 2026, the iconic, unmissable event at the Jardin d’Acclimatation is back: Holi, the great Indian festival of colors! A spring celebration where the Paris sky is colored by pigments from Jaipur and the musical rhythms of Mumbai. But what’s on the program for this new edition, taking place on May 31, 2026?
