In March, spring finally arrives. With the arrival of fine weather in Paris, we can’t wait to sit on a rooftop, strolling through the most beautiful terraces in bloom, admiring the wisteria and the most beautiful trees in bloom. But there’s something else on our minds: a picnic under the Japanese cherry trees in the Parc de Sceaux! From March 29 to April 27, 2025, the Domaine départemental de Sceaux invites you to witness the splendid Japanese cherry trees in full bloom. Thanks to Hanami, experience a bucolic escape from time…
The cherry blossom festival returns in March 2025
In Japan, Hanami is a wonderful ode to nature. A true tradition in the archipelago, Hanami literally means “looking at the flowers”. During this eagerly-awaited event, the Sakura blossoms symbolize prosperity, the return of spring and the ephemeral nature of all things. In the Hauts de Seine region, the cherry blossom festival in the Parc de Sceaux is also eagerly awaited. Every year, lovers of the land of the rising sun gather there for a dreamlike picnic under the trees.
Hanami: celebrate the return of spring in Parc de Sceaux

This spring, to celebrate Hanami, the Domaine départemental de Sceaux invites you to join us from March 29 to April 27. A flourishing event, punctuated by a host of surprises. On the program: Japanese dance shows, Origami workshops and the “Aurore, joie et renouveau” exhibition in the château’s grand salon. And let’s not forget the cherry blossoms at the Domaine de Sceaux, a spectacle in themselves. And this year, the festive Hanami weekend will take place on April 12 and 13, 2025 – mark your calendars!
