The world’s largest indoor ice rink is in Paris!
Great news! The Grand Palais des Glaces is back for the winter season. And if we’re so excited about this news, it’s because the last edition took place in 2019. And with good reason: the Grand Palais began its metamorphosis a handful of years ago. A monumental renovation project, which recently came to an end, in order to host the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games events.
And it was during the 2018-2019 winter season that the 5th edition of the Grand Palais des Glaces took place. Suffice to say, we were desperate to see it return. But after years of patience, the world’s largest indoor ice rink is finally back for a 6th edition, for the 2024-2025 season.
Le Grand Palais des Glaces:after a 5-year absence, the Grand Palais ice rink is backfor a 6th edition.
In the Nave of the Grand Palais, the huge ice rink is sure to delight Parisians as the festive season approaches. On the program: 3,000 m2 of gliding, but also plenty to feast your eyes on. Looking up to the sky: the majestic glass roof of the Grand Palais, completely renovated. At the center of the runway: a monumental work of art, still kept secret. We all remember Richard Orlinski ‘s XXL work in the shape of a polar bear, enthroned in the center of the ice rink during the 4th edition of the Grand Palais des Glaces. And when night fell, the atmosphere changed. For once, the world’s largest ice rink will be transformed into a dancefloor. On the menu: DJ sets, good vibes and disco disco balls.
