Residents of Val-d’Oise will soon no longer need to travel to Paris or Lognes to fill their shopping carts at Tang Frères. The chain, which specializes in Asian products, is preparing to open a new supermarket in Herblay-sur-Seine, in the heart of the Patte d’Oie shopping district.
A new Tang Frères store spanning over 1,000 square meters near Paris
The city estimates the space will cover more than 1,300 square meters, including the supermarket and the deli section, offering more than 11,000 items. Inside, shoppers can expect to find what has made the brand a success for the past fifty years: groceries, sauces, noodles, rice, beverages, fresh and frozen foods, fruits and vegetables, as well as products for Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, and broader Asian cuisines.
The store will be complemented by Tang Gourmet, the brand’s dining concept. In particular, a rotisserie and Asian prepared foods will be available on-site.
The city of Herblay initially announced that the supermarket would open in late July, followed by the deli in September. However, as of August 27, the chain had not publicly announced a definitive opening date.
The arrival of Tang Frères is nonetheless imminent and will mark a major expansion for the brand in the northwestern part of the Île-de-France region, fifty years after its debut in Paris’s 13th arrondissement.
