While Parisians are certainly happy about the return of the sun, unfortunately the heat continues to take its toll… To help people find some relief from the heat, the City of Paris has decided to extend the opening hours of certain parks and gardens until midnight—and beyond! Here’s the scoop.
Parks and gardens open all night

In response to the intense heat wave that has been affecting our country for several days now, the city of Paris has decided to keep several green spaces open late into the night. Nearly all arrondissements are included. The list includes 14 parks open until midnight. These include:
- Montsouris Park, in the 14th
- Buttes-Chaumont Park in the 19th
- Square Louis XIII in the 4th
- Square Emile Cohl in the 12th
- Square Ferdinand Brunot in the 14th
- Square du Tchad in the 16th
- Square Louise Michel in the 18th
- Square du Sergent Aurélie Salel in the 20th arrondissement.
- Square Emile Cohl in the 12th
- Square Georges Méliès in the 12th arrondissement as well
- Square Boucicaut in the 7th
- Esplanade Gaston Monnerville in the 6th
- Jardin Villemin – Mahsa Jîna Amini in the 10th
- Jardin de Reuilly – Paul Pernin in the 12th
- Federica Montseny Garden in the 13th
But that’s not all! In fact, of the more than 500 green spaces in the capital, 140 are open all night, 24 hours a day. This includes, for example, the magnificent garden of the Carnavalet Museum, as well as the Luxembourg Gardens, the Champ-de-Mars Park, the Bois de Vincennes, the Trocadéro Garden, and even the Champs-Élysées Gardens, which are often overlooked by Parisians…
