We’re not telling you anything new—it’s very hot in Paris! Finding a cool spot is becoming an almost impossible challenge. Between parks that are sometimes packed, and beaches and lakes that aren’t nearby, everything gets complicated. But luckily, within reach of your Navigo pass, there’s a real little slice of paradise. Tucked away in Diderot Park in Pantin, a huge pool with crystal-clear water is about to open to all swimmers… And the good news is that you’ll be able to swim there without spending a single cent.
A free swim in a heavenly pool located just outside Paris
Just like the Canal Saint-Martin, which opened a free swimming spot, the Pantin city government has followed suit by opening the gates to a true paradise! Starting now and through August 31, you can swim in the fresh water of the Diderot Park pond for free!
A very peaceful spot, surrounded by nature, where you can truly unwind! There’s just one condition for enjoying it: you must wear a swim cap. Additionally , children under 12 and non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult (even though the swimming area is supervised).
From June 15 to July 3, the pool will be open all week from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and on weekends from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Then, from July 4 to August 30, it will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., or from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in case of extreme heat.
And if this pool gets too crowded, keep in mind that the city of Saint-Denis has also opened its huge aquatic center for free during the heat wave. A great way to cool off while having fun!
