In January, Fnac des Champs closed for good. For almost 30 years, it had been one of the most emblematic stores on the Champs-Elysées, welcoming thousands of visitors every day. Last January, a huge braderie was scheduled to take place just before the closure. But this was finally cancelled… After several months without a tenant, n°74 of the most beautiful avenue in the world has finally found a buyer! And you’re in for a surprise…
Zara replaces the Fnac store on the Champs-Élysées and opens one of its largest boutiques in the world
A major coup! After months of anticipation and rumors about the next retailer to replace Fnac , it’s finally the ready-to-wear giant Zara who’s going to set up shop.
According to Le Parisien, by taking over the 2,000 m² of space adjacent to its Champs-Elysées store, the fashion behemoth will inaugurate its largest store in France, and one of its largest in the world. For the moment, there’s no word on the opening date of the Spanish store, but we do know that it will be spread over several floors.
With its 4,200 m² of floor space, the store will cater for children and adults alike. With so much space to occupy, it’s easy to imagine a “Zara Home” area dedicated to interior design.
This ultra-modern store will feature automatic checkouts as well as “Pay&Go” checkouts, which make it easy to pick up your online purchases. The Zara app will also enable you to reserve a fitting room, so you can avoid long waits and shop with complete peace of mind.
With 100 million visitors every year, the world’s most beautiful avenue offers exceptional visibility for the Spanish store. Count on us to keep you informed of the forthcoming opening…
